Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how OptimusPep, LLC (“OptimusPep”) collects, uses, and shares consumer health data, and the choices you have. It applies to all users and includes the rights provided to Washington residents under the My Health My Data Act. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Health data we collect

We collect health-related information from two sources. The first is you: the compounds you track, the doses and schedules you record, injection-site notes, inventory, body weight, and other notes and records you enter directly in the Services.

The second is Apple Health, and only if you choose to connect it. Connecting is optional, it is off until you turn it on, and the Services work without it. The section below describes exactly what we read from it and what we write back to it.

Apple Health

On iPhone, you can connect the app to Apple Health so that a weigh-in recorded by your scale, or a night recorded by your watch, does not have to be entered here a second time.

What we read. Body weight, sleep, and the start and end times of workouts already recorded in Apple Health. We read the last 30 days only, and only when you connect or ask the app to sync. We do not read your health data in the background. We request nothing else: no nutrition, no steps, no heart rate, and no clinical records. The workout times are used on your device for a single purpose, to see which sessions Apple Health already holds so that a session recorded by your watch is not written back a second time.

What we write. The body weight and the finished workouts you log in the app, so your other health apps reflect what you did. A workout we write carries its activity type and its start and end times, and no calorie figure or other total we did not measure. We never write sleep, because your watch measures it and we do not.

Where it goes. Body weight is saved to your account, so it appears on your other devices. Sleep and workout times read from Apple Health stay on your device and are not saved to your account. If you ask the in-app assistant a question about your own record, a summary of your own figures is sent to answer it, and that summary can include your latest weight, its change across the days recorded, and last night’s sleep hours. It is sent only for a question about your own record, and never for a general or educational question.

What we never do with it. We do not use anything from Apple Health for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not mine it for any purpose beyond the features described here. Apple requires this of every app that reads Apple Health, and we meet it.

You control it. Read and write access is granted by iOS, not by us. You can review or revoke it at any time in Settings, under Privacy and Security, then Health, and you can disconnect in the app to stop any further reading or writing. Revoking read access is silent by design: Apple does not tell an app that it was refused, so the app simply receives nothing.

How we use it

We use your health data only to provide the features you request, such as logging and organizing the records you enter or import, showing you your own trends, and running calculators on your own inputs. We do not use it for advertising.

How we share it

We do not sell your health data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that operate the Services on our behalf (such as hosting, storage, and AI processing), under contracts that limit their use of the data, and as required by law. We will not share your health data with any other third party for its own purposes without first asking for your separate consent. This applies to anything read from Apple Health as well as to what you enter yourself.

Searching for a physician. Find A Physician searches NPPES, the federal provider registry, for licensed physicians by city, state and specialty. We treat that search as health data even though it is not tied to your record, because looking for a prescriber is an effort to obtain health services. The search carries a place and a specialty and nothing else: not your account, not your protocol, not a compound, not a dose. On this website it passes through our server, where we do not log it, do not set a cookie for it, and keep no record of who searched for what. In the mobile app it goes from your device straight to the registry and never reaches us at all. Either way there is nothing here to sell, share, or hand over, and nothing to link back to you.

Consent

We collect and process your health data based on your consent, which you give when you choose to use a feature, such as logging a compound, dose, or schedule. We ask for your consent to collect this data, and we ask for separate consent before sharing it in any way that would require it. You may withdraw your consent at any time, after which we will stop the related processing.

Apple Health is a separate consent, given through the iOS permission sheet rather than to us, and covering only the data types named in the Apple Health section above. You withdraw it in iOS Settings, under Privacy and Security, then Health, or by disconnecting in the app.

Your rights

You have the right to access the health data we have about you, to withdraw consent, and to request that we delete it, including by directing our service providers to delete it. To exercise these rights, email support@optimuspep.com or use the deletion tools in the app. We will respond as required by law, and you may appeal a decision by contacting us.

Biometric data

We do not use your information for biometric identification. We do not create a facial-recognition template, scan your face geometry, or otherwise identify you biometrically.
