A synthetic pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) derived from a gastric protein sequence, studied in animal models for angiogenesis and soft-tissue and gastrointestinal repair. Its effects appear to outlast its brief plasma presence. It is also referred to as Body Protection Compound, PL 14736.
