A synthetic melanocortin receptor agonist that acts on central pathways involved in sexual arousal. FDA-approved as Vyleesi and studied for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women. It is also referred to as Bremelanotide, Vyleesi. It is listed here under Sexual / Hormonal as educational reference, which is not a recommendation to use it.
